Sinulog 2012

It's the time of the year for Cebu to pay homage to the Child Jesus, also known as Snr. Sto. Nino.

It is also the time of the year where tourists flocked over to Cebu to witness the colorful Sinulog Mardi Gras. While most tourists would go to Abellana to witness the showdown of all Sinulog Contingents, others would prefer to watch the street dancing on the bleachers. My family would rather choose to laze in front of our TV set to avoid the crowd.

For the adventurous peeps, go for a breath-taking bird's eye view of the Sinulog Mardi Gras. Y101 offers chopper rides around the Sinulog Grand Parade routes for P1,700 per person. It will last for 10 minutes with three laps around the Sinulog routes. Maximum of 5 passengers aboard excluding the pilot.

If you opt for the traditional walk around the city during the festival, the Sinulog Foundation made maps available to online viewers. This will give you an idea which areas have traffic jams, closed roads, best seats on the bleachers, water stations and medical stations.

See you this Sinulog! Pit Senyor!
